critique it, compliment it, whatever you want.





1.)


To have perfection in the palms of your hands


And, like a dove, to watch it fly away.





You had a taste of what you always craved


Only to ask yourself what was it worth?





Was it worth the pain in the end


The agony of comparing ever soul


To the one you had to let go of?








2.)


I glow like New York City,


And burn like the desert,


I’m just as blind as the love I’m chasing





I shine like the stars above,


And fall when they die


Only to realize love is just another lie





Blazing like the sun


Burning like a candle


…Time is fading…





I crash like the waves


Drink up the shore


Over and over, no more





Like a record player


The same beat


The same tune





All I’m asking for


Is something new

Can someone please revise this poem to make sure it clicks?

It is a haiku so if you want to change words remember the 5-7-5 syllable pattern. It is about Germany, Hitler and World War II. I am doing this for english extra credit so if you please do your best.

The end of World War


Not to be known as the first


Inflicted pain strikes





Dragging onwards till


Adolf Hitler came to reign


Seized upon the Jew





None were permitted


Burned by the Star of David


Pulling forth its’ past





Concentration camps


Gassing children, gassing babes


Smoking furnace blaze





Dug all on your own


Shot down in the air and pushed


Mass graves haunt the sight





Work is liberty


Tanks dug beneath the wounded


Gone for good, for life





Not long forgotten


History should not repeat


Genocidal weep

Can someone please revise this poem to make sure it clicks?
I liked it a lot.





I do think there could be more use of WWII terminology though. Panzer. Blitzkreig. Patton. Himmler. Goehring. Luftwaffe. i think these might be neat words to tie in and use if you can.





Maybe if you did some research you could put in some of the vivid images and sounds, people and places that could really bring that time into ours.





For example I know the missiles they dropped on Great Britain made a particular sound. Or tanks rumbling. Or the sound of marching.





Also, I believe it is haiku to include some seasonal references. Maybe there could be some in this poem? Is it all wintery? Or does "hope spring eternal" as they say? Or fall when the leaves die?

Mine is Outside. My brides maids are on chestnut all with blazes on their face) arabians with pink lace in their manes, and His side is on bay arabians with the (star on their forehead) and I would be on a dapple grey arabian, and he would be on a black arabian with a blaze and four white socks.

How about a grandfather or someone who has been a father figure in your life that you could dance with for the father daughter dance. The old saying is "Anyone can be a father but it takes a special man to be a DADDY". This tends to be true in so many peoples lives. If you have that daddy figure then Daddy's Hands by: Holly Dunn is a wonderful song to dance to.

As for your dream wedding, sounds spendy, but hey if you want it get it! personally I have always LOVED cinderella, therefore i will be having the puffy dress, the horse drawn carriage (my parents raise miniature ponies and have an old fashioned buggy) and my hubby to be will be wearing a white tux. the bridesmaids will have a pinkish color dress, and there will be no ring bearer or flower girl. our son will be in the wedding, giving his father and mother the rings to unite our family and become one"
